PUG BREED COUNCIL JUDGES' LIST "A3" (2012) 

Breed Specialists:  For persons with a minimum of seven years judging experience in the Breed, who have judged a minimum of 125 Pugs within 50 classes.   To have bred and/or owned a minimum of three Pugs when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances).

To have attended Seminars given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examinations on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures, Confirmation and Movement, Confirmation and Movement Hands on Assessment and to have attended and passed at least one Breed specific Seminar run in accordance with the Kennel Club Code of Best Practice by one of the member Breed Clubs.  To have stewarded on a minimum of twelve days at Shows and have the support of the Pug Breed Council.

Non-Specialist:  For persons with a minimum of seven years judging experience in any one breed (to include five years in this breed).   To have judged a minimum of 125 Pugs within 50 classes.   To have awarded CC's in at least one other breed.   To have bred and/or owned a minimum of three dogs of any breed when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book and to have the support of the Pug Breed Council. To have attended and passed at least one Breed Specific Seminar run in accordance with the Kennel Club Code of Best Practice by one of the member Breed Clubs

The Pug Breed Council expects all their approved Judges to submit a critique to the Dog Press within four weeks of a judging appointment.   Failure to provide such a critique without written explanation of the relevant and extenuating circumstances to the Council Chairperson or Secretary may result in the Judge's name being withheld from future lists.
